Trump Blames Biden for Mideast and Russia-Ukraine Crises

Date:

Middleeasttycoon News Desk :Former US President Donald Trump has criticized President Joe Biden for his administration’s handling of foreign policy, attributing the escalation of conflicts in the Middle East and the Russia-Ukraine war to these failures. In an exclusive interview with Al-Arabiya’s Nadia Bilbassy-Charters aired on Sunday, Trump asserted that had he been president, the October 7 attack on Israel would not have occurred. These accords, signed on September 15, 2020, marked a significant diplomatic shift in the region, with both the UAE and Bahrain recognizing Israel’s sovereignty. Following this, Sudan and Morocco also established relations with Israel. However, recent tensions have emerged, with Bahrain’s parliament moving to sever economic ties with Israel amid the ongoing violence in Gaza, which has resulted in over 42,000 casualties as of mid-October.

He stated, “If I were president, that war would have never started. You wouldn’t have all those dead people… (and) demolished cities.” Trump also touched on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, expressing his intent to expand the Abraham Accords, which facilitated normalization agreements between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain during his presidency.

Trump criticized Biden’s inability to curb Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s actions, suggesting that this has led to a rift among American Muslim voters regarding their support for the Democratic ticket in the upcoming November 5 election. He emphasized that he could effectively negotiate an end to the war, claiming it must conclude “one way or another.”

In his Al-Arabiya interview, Trump stated that if elected again, he would collaborate with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to promote peace in the region, highlighting his commitment to resolving ongoing conflicts.
