MIDDLEEAST TYCOON NEWS DESK:On Wednesday, Israeli strikes in eastern Lebanon resulted in at least 40 deaths, according to Lebanon’s health ministry. The attacks, targeting the Baalbek and Bekaa regions, were reportedly aimed at operatives from Hezbollah, an armed group backed by Iran, as stated by an Israeli official.
Lebanon’s culture minister expressed concern over the damage caused by one of the strikes to an Ottoman-era building near Baalbek’s renowned Roman ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Additionally, strikes impacted southern Beirut following evacuation warnings from the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), which reported hitting Hezbollah command centers, weapon storage facilities, and critical infrastructure.
