Saudi Customs Seizes Over 1.2 Million Captagon Pills

Middleeasttycoon News Desk : The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle 1,225,200 Captagon pills concealed within a shipment arriving through the Halat Ammar border crossing. During routine customs inspections of a marble mixer shipment, advanced detection technology revealed the hidden pills.

Following the discovery, ZATCA coordinated with the General Directorate for Drug Control to apprehend those involved in the smuggling attempt. Two individuals were arrested and are facing charges related to the incident.

ZATCA emphasized its commitment to strengthening customs controls over imports and exports, maintaining vigilance against smuggling activities. This operation is part of a broader collaboration with the General Directorate for Drug Control aimed at enhancing public safety and protecting society from drug-related threats.

The authority also called on the public to actively participate in combating smuggling efforts, highlighting the importance of community involvement in safeguarding both the national economy and public health. Through ongoing vigilance and cooperation, ZATCA aims to deter future smuggling attempts and ensure the safety of the Kingdom.
