Middleeasttycoon News Desk : Minister of Media Salman Al-Dosari inaugurated the “SPA Academy for News Training” at the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) building in Riyadh on Saturday. He emphasized that the Academy will leverage SPA’s extensive experience and global connections to enhance media training for its partners.
Ali Al-Zaid, Acting President of SPA, described the Academy as a key initiative in the agency’s newly approved development plan, aimed at advancing the news industry and refining media professionals through hands-on programs and strategic partnerships.
Tariq Alsheikh, the Academy’s CEO, announced that a training calendar will be released by the end of 2024, targeting trainees from government sectors. In collaboration with the Human Capacity Development Program and the Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf), the Academy plans to launch training for graduates in 2025-2026. Additionally, it will offer programs for journalists, which will be promoted through its digital platform and social media.
The Academy has signed several agreements with various organizations, including the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, SDAIA, Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, and Microsoft, to enhance its training offerings and establish a robust educational framework.
